Currently, we are looking to fill Delivery Associate positions in Charlotte, NC. Apex Express Logistics is an Amazon Delivery Service Partner. We safely deliver packages (and smiles!) in the Charlotte-Metro area every day. We're looking for dedicated individuals who are inspired and motivated to work smart and work hard in a team environment.
Delivery Associate Responsibilities: - Conduct themselves in a highly ethical manner at all times
- Show excellent attention to detail
- Solve problems independently using critical thinking skills
- Have a positive, can-do attitude
- Demonstrate strong communication skills
- Load vans and deliver packages by driving, climbing in and out of the vehicle, and walking upstairs and through driveways in all weather conditions (we deliver year-round!), and deliver packages safely and on time
- Work with a team in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Be a responsible and courteous teammate
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and paperwork
- Safely operate large vehicles like Extended Cargo Vans or Step Vans
- Operate a smartphone for GPS and daily logs
- Represent Apex Express Logistics and Amazon with a high degree of professionalism
Delivery Associate Requirements: We provide thorough on-the-job training so all of our teammates feel confident on the road and on the doorsteps of Amazon customers. Our main priority is having Delivery Associates we can trust to drive safely and deliver on time.
We Safely Deliver Smiles!- Be 21 years of age or older
- Hold a valid NC driver's license (no CDL required)
- Have a clean driving record
- Have a positive attitude
- Fluent in English (being bilingual is a bonus)
- Available to work weekends and holidays
- Have a proven track record of reliability
- Previous delivery experience a plus!
- Experience driving large vehicles a plus!
- Military, EMS, Fire Dept., LEO experience highly preferred!
Physical Requirements: - Appropriately handle stressful driving demands including inclement weather conditions
- Perform the following tasks with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Lift & move a maximum of 50 pounds during an 8 to 10-hour work shift
- Get in and out of van and climb stairs, reach overhead, squat/bend/kneel during an 8 to 10-hour work shift
