Performance Foodservice, a leading national food distributor, is seeking a safety-focused CDL A Delivery Driver for our night shift in the Food & Beverage Operations industry within our Transportation & Logistics team. In this role, you will operate a Class A commercial tractor-trailer to deliver food and food-related products to a variety of customers, from family-owned restaurants to regional and national chains. Night shift drivers typically begin routes in the late evening or night hours and work overnight to ensure our customers are stocked and ready for business the following day. As a CDL A Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading products using equipment such as electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, and lift gates. You will perform multi-stop, route-based deliveries, verify orders against invoices, complete required paperwork and electronic logs, and provide excellent customer service at each stop. The position requires frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of cases and products, some weighing up to 50–75 lbs, and working in a variety of environments including refrigerated trailers, loading docks, and customer locations. You will conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of your tractor and trailer in compliance with DOT and company standards, promptly reporting any issues. Adhering to all DOT regulations, Hours of Service rules, and company safety policies is essential. You will work closely with dispatch, routing, and warehouse teams in a team-oriented culture that emphasizes innovation, operational efficiency, and exceptional service to our customers. The ideal candidate has prior CDL A driving experience, preferably in foodservice or route-based delivery, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work independently during night hours. You should be comfortable using basic onboard technology and electronic logging devices, navigating to multiple customer locations, and communicating professionally with restaurant owners, managers, and staff. Performance Foodservice offers competitive pay, excellent benefits, and strong growth potential within our organization for drivers who demonstrate reliability, customer focus, and a commitment to teamwork. This night shift CDL A Delivery Driver position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical, fast-paced work, interacting with customers, and being a key part of keeping restaurants and foodservice operations running smoothly across our service area.
